Emergency Couple - Ana's thoughts on the very emotional episode 16 and 17

To the people closely following emergency couple and saw the scene of the picture above in the preview for ep16, aren’t you glad that it’s just Chun Soo’s fantasy. Episode 16 and 17 of Emergency Couple made me cry a whole lot. So if there’s anything at all in these two episodes that made me happy, it is when I confirmed that  the kiss above did not happen for real.

Emergency Couple - Ana's thoughts on the drama

It’s a story about a once married couple who after being divorced for 6 years met again as Interns in the emergency department of a hospital. The show stars Song jiHyo as Oh Jin Hee and Choi Jin Hyuk as Oh Chang Min as the once married couple.

I was in the “I can’t get over My Love From Another Star (MLFAS) phase” when I said to myself a fan girl has to help oneself cope and so after re-watching over and over again my favorite parts of MLFAS (pathetic eh J) I tried Emergency Couple.

Emergency Couple (EC) started with showing how in love Jin Hee and Chang Min were 6 years ago to rush into marriage. Life for them started turning sour when finances got so low, self esteem for both started going down too and even health was affected. It was when all these things piled up that both of them exploded like a bomb and decided to separate and file for a divorce.

Bride of the Century Episode 1 to 6 Report Card– The Kang Joo and Doo Rim Ship by Fangirl Ciel

I started this drama on a whim. Usually, I check out the first few episodes of a drama to get a feel if it’s my cup of tea and if it’s worth watching. Me and Bride of the Century (BC) had a rather boring start. I was unimpressed with episode 1 that it took me a couple of days before I watched the next episode. Well, why? I find the plot rather cliché and maybe a little bit makjang.  Rich, arrogant, cold hearted hero who has never loved before, check! Poor kind hearted, innocent, very candy-ish heroine, check! It’s basically the plot of almost every drama that ever existed.

Then the other fangirls started raving about the drama and I decided to watch the next epiosode. Episode 1 was basically an introduction of the characters, and the reason why Doo Rim has to enter Kang Joo’s life. What made this drama addictive and enjoyable is when Doo Rim finally met Kang Joo and played his fiancée which is around in episode 2. The chemistry is just palpable, and their interactions oh so funny and spazz worthy!

So how do I rate BC as a drama so far? I’ve come up with a grading system which I think are important ingredients of a good drama, namely a well written plot, a swoon worthy male lead, a kickass heroine, skinship and chemistry, and lastly interesting and non-annoying side characters.
